The Ryker top speed is factory set at 56 mph or 90 km/h while still allowing for operation in Rally, Sport, and Eco modes. The Ryker-specific Learning Key function enables novice drivers to progressively increase their speed without worrying about doing so too quickly.
Under ideal conditions, the Ryker 600 models can hit 85 to 90 mph, and the Ryker 900 models can do 102 mph. The Cam-Am Ryker Rally is a thriller built with curves in mind and can speed from 0 to 60 mph in less than six seconds.

How Fast Is The Can-Am Ryker Compared To Tree-Wheel Motorcycles?
Let’s also compare the Can-AM Ryker to its competition. Keep in mind that the top speeds of these models are taken from the standard version, the special versions are not listed in the table.
These speeds also come from the technical specifications and various YouTube videos, and are average top speed
Model | To Speed (mph) |
Can-Am Ryker 600 | 102 |
Can-Am Ryker 900 | 90 |
Polaris Slingshot | 125 |
Can-Am Spider | 110 |
Vanderhall Venice | 140 |
Vanderhall Carmel | 140 |
Morgan 3 Wheeler | 130 |
Note: The Polaris Slingshot is not a tree-wheel motorcycle, but it may not be forgotten in this comparison.
7 × Ways to Boost the Can-Am Ryker Top Speed
By turning up the engine and other parts of the engine, the Ryker will definitely reach a higher top speed. Please note that the Ryker is not designed for this, which could result in more wear and tear, which would require more frequent maintenance.
I advise against ramping up your Can-Am Ryker if you still have the factory warranty. Making changes to your Can-Am could void the warranty, so if you experience any big problems, you might have to pay for them yourself. Before you make the changes, check your warranty first.
There are several ways to make the Ryker go faster, including:
Numerous approaches can help to boost your Ryker’s top speed (but remember, this is at your own risk), including:
1. Using Higher Octane Fuel
Changing to a higher-octane fuel is one easy and quick approach to accelerate your Ryker. Using gas with a higher octane rating can boost your engine’s performance. The fuel burns more thoroughly, so the bike is more fuel-efficient, and your fuel system’s mechanical components suffer less corrosion.
You will still notice the response difference when you press the accelerator. You will feel a marked performance difference, even though the increased mileage is not immediately apparent. Also, the fuel costs a little more than regular gas.
Due to a desire for a more potent boost than what is offered at a gas station, many bike owners choose to raise the octane level in their fuel manually. You can stir the higher-octane fuel by adding a small amount to your Ryker’s gas tank. Also, you can pre-mix it in a can and then pour it into the fuel tank to ensure exact measurements.
2. Removing the Speed Limiter
The Can-Am Ryker’s ECU manages its top speed. So, an ECU tune-up can significantly improve the performance of your Ryker. It costs little, and the speed of your bike can increase considerably. Reflashing or remapping the ECU raises the power, speed limit, and RPM.
You can also use an aftermarket ECU flash to remove the speed limits. You can install an ECU tuner to make the necessary adjustments to increase your Can-Am Ryker’s max speed, or get experts to tune the ECU. Yet, having a professional ECU tuner is advisable because you may damage your bike’s electrical system.
Some riders adjust the radiator fan’s temperature to keep the engine temperature low. Additionally, you may alter the fuel curve and ignition timing to regulate the amount of gasoline delivered at certain RPMs and advance the timing. It can significantly improve throttle response and acceleration.
3. Installing High-Flow Air Filters
It’s necessary to inspect and clean your air filter regularly. If your air filter is blocked, less air can get to the engine, which might cause your engine to choke or suffocate while you’re driving. Use a high-flow air filter in place of the original one. Almost every Powersports or automotive application uses K&N air filters, which have been among the best for years.
With more air flowing into the engine, thanks to the enhanced intake, more power will be generated. One of the easiest ways to boost your system’s performance is to do that. A K&N high-flow air and oil bike filters are available for about $9.99.
4. Fitting an Aftermarket Exhaust
A popular method for improving the performance of your bike is to upgrade the exhaust. Because it can release more air, the engine can suck in more air. This combination is more efficient when used with a high-flow air intake system.
A performance slip-on exhaust is an excellent alternative if you cannot replace the entire exhaust system. The slip-on muffler system is the most popular because it allows you to replace your factory muffler with a frequently lighter one. These systems’ cores also offer much higher exhaust flow rates than the heavily baffled stock systems.
You get less power from the performance slip-on exhaust than a full-performance system. Consider pairing the slip-on or full exhaust with a high-flow intake system for a more powerful version.
Conical, performance exhaust systems gradually grow larger or broader than factory exhaust systems. More air can flow through the engine as a result. Increased power and speed are the results of the richer air-fuel mixture. You can get a Ryker Slip-on muffler for about $300.
5. Improving Fuel Delivery
Enhancing fuel delivery should come after improving the intake, exhaust, or both to maximize your engine’s performance. To upgrade your fuel system, you will need experienced programmers for fuel injection systems. Dynojet was the first to introduce fuel injection systems for power sports vehicles.
The electrical harness that runs through your bike can accommodate the Power Commander V, a popular Dynojet device. It helps to control fuel delivery properly, allowing your engine to generate the most power. A Power Commander V tuner for Can-Am Ryker costs between $419.59 and $611.99.
6. A Ryder 900 Turbo Kit
Installing the turbo kit can take your stock Ryker and turn it into a beast, only limited by the grip on the wheels. The equipment can boost the output of a Stock Ryker running pump gas to 115HP, an over 40% increase. The complete kit, without a Programmer, costs $2700, but you must already have Dynojet PV3 Controller, and they will email you the tune. The price for a complete Kit with Dynojet Programmer is $3000.
7. Upgrading the Clutch Kit
You can increase the peak speed and acceleration of your Can-Am Ryker by upgrading the clutch. With the right upgrade, you could experience more significant peak acceleration and speed, and the package will alter your RPM curve to improve your maximum power. Many clutch kits include new springs and weights that change the clutch’s self-adjustment timing and speed.
Clutch kits can easily be modified to suit changing riding situations, riding styles, and engine upgrades. An advantage of a clutch kit is that it boosts top speeds, torque, and power, enhances acceleration and throttle response, and lessens belt slippage and heat buildup, extending belt life. Upgrade Can-Am Ryker clutch kits cost around US$375.00.
