Who Makes Engines For Polaris?
From 1968 to 1995, Robin/Fuji Heavy Industries was the only supplier of engines to Polaris. After that period, Polaris gradually started making its engines with the debut of the Polaris Magnum 425 4-stroke ATV in 1995 and the “twin 700” snowmobile engine in 1997, respectively. Polaris began the internal development and manufacturing of the “Liberty” family of engines, which are now utilized in a variety of vehicles across their current production lines.
Since then, Polaris has continued to expand its capacity for producing engines internally, designing and producing all of its power plants while preserving its cooperation with Subaru.
So, to reduce costs while simultaneously creating a more powerful machine, Polaris created its engine, the ProStar. According to Polaris, their engine could accelerate 29% more quickly than any other type. The ProStar in the RZR design debuted on New Year’s Eve 2010. The engines power the RZR, Ranger, Sportsman, ACE, and Slingshots. ProStar engines are specially manufactured, adjusted, and created for your vehicle and application.
